Algorithms of license plate segmentation

Abstract

The qualification work considers the task of recognizing license plates in difficult operating conditions: in different weather conditions, lighting, pollution of license plates. The solution of this problem is required in such events as traffic management, automatic handling of road accidents, automatic parking, etc. After the analysis of possible algorithms, the technology of segmentation and recognition of car numbers with use of the Matlab environment (functions rgb2grey, imadjust) is offered.
