Women's memoirs about the «window of opportunity» during the revolution of 1917–1921

Abstract

The paper analyzes the memoirs of contemporary women of the Ukrainian national revolution of 1917–1921. They determined that the study of memoirs is of particular importance, given, that memoirs show models of behavior of women in the revolutionary storm, their personal attitude to the revolution and options for their perception of the revolution as a possibility of self-realization (or not). The study is based on the principles of historicist, objectivity and complexity, applied methods of analysis and synthesis, generalization, historical-genetic, historical-comparative, biographical, chronological.
