Ukrainian cinema as a means of promoting historical memory in the post-Stalin period

Abstract

In the work Ukrainian cinema as a means of propaganda of historical memory in the period from 1956 to 1991 are invastigated. The main topics of Soviet propaganda of historical memory in the period under study are considered. The features of Soviet propaganda in Ukrainian cinema are traced on the example of the most successful and significant feature films for Ukrainian cinema. The specificity of studying the topic involves the use of general scientific (research, analytical, synthetic, generalization) and special historical (periodization, problemchronological, historical-comparative, historical-genetic) methods.
