Achistoricism in the theory and practice of realpolitik

Abstract

The problem of using a historical approach to the study of international relations is viewed in the thesis. While most theoretical approaches to international relations are based on an attempt to place oneself outside of history, reading the past in terms of the present is not very popular. The analytical unproductiveness of ahistoricism as a method of studying international relations on the example of the theory and practice of realpolitik is shown.
