Democratization in the countries of the post-communist space on the examples of Poland and Hungary

Abstract

The nonlinearity of the democratization process is comprehensively considered in the paper. The main danger of deviating from democratic principles in the world is highlighted, as well as recommendations on how to prevent it. The causes and manifestations of dedemocratization in such countries as Poland and Hungary are described, as well as the current vision of the problem. Particular attention is paid to the political and legal aspects of the post-communist countries, the manifestations of dedemocratization in them, as well as the EU's response to these manifestations.
