The historical destinies of the Ukrainian Cossacks after the destruction of Novaya Zaporizhia Sich

Abstract

The master's thesis is devoted to the history of the Ukrainian Cossacks of the end of the 18th - the first half of the 19th century. The paper analyzes the political, economic, and social forms of activity, highlights the influence of Cossacks on the future fate of Ukrainians in terms of the formation of social consciousness, preservation of the historical memory of the people and the mental component of the Ukrainian nation. The qualification work was performed in compliance with the principles of historicism, systematicity and complexity, the use of problem-chronological, historical-genetic and comparative-historical methods of scientific knowledge.
