Formation of the Soviet holiday calendar

Abstract

The master's thesis is devoted to the analysis of the Soviet holiday calendar. The research is based on the principles of scientific objectivity and historicism, with the involvement of general scientific and special historical methods. A conclusion was made about two stages in the formation of the Soviet holiday calendar. It is shown that the key task of Soviet holidays was the formation of an identity based on the new world order, which was to be transmitted to the next generation. A characteristic feature of their organization was the "ideologically verified" format, which was achieved by the introduction of communist symbols, emblems, and paraphernalia.
