Ukraine's past in Russia's historical policy.

Abstract

The process of formation of the Russian concept of the history of Ukraine is analyzed in the present article. Its origin and transformation during the 19th century and the first half of the 21st century are analyzed in specific historical conditions. The place of Ukrainian history in the Russian imperial concept, its exploitation in the historical policy of Russia and refutation of the created myths concerning the Ukrainian statehood is Scientific novelty. The research is based on the historicist, systematic, scientific objectivist approaches and historical-genetic and system methods.
