Development of elective classes in physics on the basic of historical approach.

Among students, physics is considered one of the most difficult subjects, so the level of knowledge is not high enough. However, the knowledge gained in physics lessons is the basis of technical literacy. One way to increase motivation is a historical approach. In the master's work the peculiarities of the historical approach in teaching are considered; general features of extracurricular activities in physics, the following types of extracurricular activities are considered in more detail: physical exhibition, scientific conference, physical newspaper, thematic evenings in physics, optional classes, consultations, school groups. On the basis of the researched material the material is selected and 3 optional classes on physics on the basis of the historical approach are developed: "Archimedes:" Eureka ", polyspast and other", "Random discoveries", "War of currents: confrontation of Thomas Edison and Nikola Tesla". The materials can be used for other extracurricular activities, and as a template for creating other elective physics classes.
